With the "Bearded Man" project, I hope to draw attention to those in our society who are often unseen and overlooked - the homeless, who have endured unimaginable hardships but retain a dignity and humanity that can be seen in their posture.
I use oil paint and paper to create a sense of fragility and vulnerability, as if the men could be torn or crumpled just as easily as the paper on which they are painted.
This medium allows for a level of detail and texture that truly captures the roughness and character of the subjects, emphasizing their humanity and dignity.
I hope that by creating these works, I can inspire people to look beyond their own circumstances and realize the essential worth and value of every human being.
As an artist, I feel it is also my responsibility to use my skills to shed light on and raise awareness of important social issues, as well as to inspire compassion for those who are homeless.
Oil on paper.
Different sizes are described in the image.
A white passe-partout is included with every piece of artwork that will fit most standard frames.
